The Guidance Counsellor assists students to make an informed decision in their choice of career. In the event of parents having concerns regarding a student’s future, the Career Counsellor is available by appointment to discuss the matter with them.
St. Fanahan’s College is one of a select number of schools to be part of the UCC Plus+ Programme. This programme enables Leaving Certificate students to avail of extra free tuition after school and the chance of receiving extra financial assistance when reaching third level Colleges/Universities. In some cases, students may gain entry to various college places with fewer points than is required under CAO requirements.
Pupils with learning difficulties benefit from the small group environment where they receive individual attention. Literacy and numeracy skills are developed through specialised programmes and also through the use of computer software and specific educational websites.
School Completion Programme and Home School Liaison Officer
