Our school has an 'open door' policy with regards to parental involment in the education of the students attending St. Fanahans. We feel it is very important that the parents of our students are always able contact the staff and management here, and we strive to create a welcoming environment for them so that they can be assured that any matter regarding the education and care of their son or daughter can be addressed in with full effectiveness and confidentiality, if so required.
Contacting the Staff
The principal, deputy principal, and all other members of staff can be contacted via the reception in the school (025 24314), and appointments for meetings/consultations can be made with them at time that suits both the parent and the teacher if necessary. More contact information can be found here.
In addition to this, we have a Home School Liaison Offficer who's role in the school is to work with parents to help them achieve the best possible education opprtunities for their son/daughter. For more information about the Elma's work on the school click here.
There is a very active and engaged Parents' Association in the school, more information about them can be found here.
Parent Teacher Meetings
We hold parent teacher meetings regularly throughout the school year, where parents have the opportunity to meet all of their child's teachers in a one-to-one setting, and discuss their child's progress in each and every subject..
